The teacher education program at Arkansas State University provides a rigorous program that is designed to equip our students to be successful teachers. Graduates of our program enter the classroom ready to make a difference in the lives of their students.
Undergraduate Programs Field-based Experiences Teacher Education students have many opportunities to observe, teach and work with students and classroom teachers in the public schools and childcare settings. From the onset of the program, the Introduction to Teaching class, until the end of internship, students have a variety of experiences and are given numerous opportunities to practice emerging teaching skills. Under the supervision of experienced classroom teachers and university faculty, they are provided with meaningful feedback that helps them to grow in their professional practice. |
Diverse Faculty The Department of Teacher Education faculty truly are a multi-cultural and multi-perspective group of faculty who are dedicated to providing quality classroom experiences for their undergraduate students. Their goal is to teach and mentor students in such a way as to equip them with the professional skills needed to be effective teachers.
